New store for Alice

Parent group Wesfarmers has flagged that it will open 16 to 26 new Bunnings Warehouse stores a year. Bunnings will open its first store in Alice Springs. It has acquired an industrial site on which to build the store. Bunnings chief operating officer Peter Davis said the acquisition was part of Bunnings’ wider expansion plans. First National Commercial Framptons director David Forrest said the sale “took considerable persistence.” Bunnings recently bought the Big Prawn in Ballina.
