A great start for Sylvie

Sylvie will undertake paid on-the-job training, while attending school, as well as attaining Certificate II in Business and her Certificate of Registration in Real Estate by the time she completes her HSC at the end of 2013.
“Training (VET) qualification, as well as being included as part of their HSC studies, helps students gain valuable work skills and experience through paid employment,” said Department of Education School Based Apprenticeship and Traineeship Co – ordinator, Megan Reynolds.
“With the help of Gunnedah First National Real Estate, Sylvie is able to complete the requirements of the Certificate II in Business through Gunnedah High School and the on-the-job component will be undertaken as one day per week during school.
“School-based apprenticeships and traineeships provide students with the opportunity to attain a nationally recognised Vocational Education and additional work during school holidays.”
