Lands sells for $1.53m

One of Mildura largest and most prominent parcels of indnstrial land sold for $1.53 million yesterday.
Collie and Tierney First National commercial real estate agent Joe Fleri would only say the buyer of the 5300 square metre property at the corner of Etiwanda Avenue and Seventh Street, was a businessman from Mildura.
He said the vendors, BA Scott Estate Ply Ltd, were pleased with the result.
“Yes they’re very happy,” he said.
Auctioneer Frank Tierney outlined the features of the properly ahead of the sale.
“Today is a really good opportunity to buy some good quality property,” he said.
“It’s a really good corner position.
“You’ve got some good exposure here.” Mr Tierney started bidding at $1.8 million but lowered this to $1.3 million before the first bid was made.
There were several bidders and discussions with the vendor before a bid of $1,530,000 was accepted.
